This Rule Document is intended as a quick reference guide to ages, classes and engine specifications. For more detailed Rules see IKF Rulebook and UAS Rulebook.

Kid Kart Rules are subject to change after testing on the track. Areas of concern are gearing, governor and assigning a class weight.

Kid Kart: 5-8 years of age

Any 6.5hp 4-cycle Harbor Freight Clone including Predetor or Comer 50cc 2-cycle Engine.

6.5hp 4-cycle Harbor Freight Clone
1. Engines must be run as they come out of the box.
2. Stock governor must be stock and in working order.
3. Air filter and sock must be installed as per factory.
4. No alterations to factory flywheel keyway or key.
5. Engine must pass random rpm governor test on the stand w/max. 5500 rpm.
6. Must run factory gas tank.
7. May disconnect vent tube on fuel tank.
8. May disconnect throttle stop screw
9. Chain guard and engine mount are the only aftermarket parts allowed.
10. Must disconnect and tape oil sensor wire.
11. Spec Gears are 13 tooth driver and 66 tooth axle sprocket.
12. Must run max 5” Tread Tires. NO PREP.
13. Fuel: Pump gasoline only.

Comer 50
1. Stock per IKF Sec. 622.50,C50
2. Spec Gears are 10 tooth driver and 89 tooth axle sprocket.
3. Must run max 5” Tread Tires. NO PREP.
4. Fuel: Pump gasoline only.

JR I - 2 cycle: 8-11 years of age
235#, IKF Yamaha KT100S, WA55B or WA55-1 Carburetor,
RLV 4-hole Box Muffler SSX-V, No Direct Drive, gas & oil only.

JR I-4 cycle: 8-11 years of age
235#, IKF 5 hp Briggs Flathead, .425 blue restrictor, methanol only.
235#, IKF Stock Animal, .251 black restrictor, methanol only.

JR II 2 cycle: 12-15 years of age

CKA Sportsman Open: 12+ years of age
Two Stroke: 100 cc max

• Overhead valve pushrod: 212 cc max; 340# minimum

Chassis and body work must conform to general rules.
Competitors must declare their weight and display it next to their front number in such a manner that the scale person can easily see it before your qualifying attempt or heat whichever is first.

SUPER SPORT:

 

 

MUST BE A    196-212 CC MOTOR

                        MIN WEIGHT 360 LBS KART AND DRIVER

                        

 

 

THERE WILL BE ONE CLASS WITH 2 DIFFERENT WEIGHTS RUNNING TOGEATHER

 

SS-360   &   SS-400     THESE ARE THE MINIMUM WEIGHT

 

THE HEAVY SS-400 CLASS ALLOWS THE RACER TO INCREASE THE HORSEPOWER TO OFFSET THE 40 POUNDS

WEIGHT INCREASE AND BE COMPETITIVE WITH THE 360 WEIGHT CLASS. IF I FIND THERE IS TOO MUCH DIFFERENCE

WITH THE SS-400 CLASS AFTER A FEW RACES I WILL CUT BACK EITHER MOTOR MODS OR REQUIRE ADDED WEIGHT TO THE

SS-400 CLASS , THE GOAL TO HAVE LARGER RACERS THE SAME CHANCE AS THE LIGHTER RACERS IN WINNING.

 

THE SS-360 IS THE LIGHT MODIFIDED CLASS AS FOLLOWS

GENERAL RULES

 

EACH KART WILL DISPLAY A STICKER ON THE LEFT SIDE FOR THE WEIGHT CLASS   SS-360 OR SS- 400

FOR THE WEIGHT OFFICIAL TO DETERMINE THE MINIMUN WEIGHT FOR THE RACER.

 

ALL KARTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SCALE ( IF AVAILABLE ) AFTER EACH HEAT.

FAILURE WILL RESULT IN A DISQUALIFACATION FOR THAT HEAT OR MAIN.

 

ALL KARTS FIRST TO THIRD IN THE MAIN WILL BE CHECKED FOR CLASS MOTOR RULES AFTER THE RACE

HOWEVER KARTS MAY PRE-TECH BEFORE THE RACES AND HAVE THERE MOTORS SEALED AND WILL NOT BE

REQUIRED TO TECH AFTER THE MAIN.
